This policy is based on a commitment to improving our environmental performance across all areas of our business and in the tours and accommodation that we offer. We see this as an on-going journey. In order to achieve this we will continue to do the following:
- Purchase ethically and healthily. Informed buying decisions can help us to: eat healthily; reduce the purchase of products made under unfair trade and employment conditions; reduce the amount of raw materials used in manufacture; reduce waste & pollution and support local businesses.
- To think before we use. If we are efficient in the energy, water, materials and food we use we will reduce our environmental impact.
- Think before we throw away. By recycling and composting as much as we can we reduce the amount of rubbish to landfill.
- Continue to develop our grounds and gardens. In order that the environment that has been created will benefit the fauna and flora.
- To keep learning. The more we learn about our native fauna, flora, landscape and its history, the more informed we become and the more we have to share with others. It is our strong desire to encourage the growth of a conservation ethic in all of our guests through knowledge, experience and action.
Commit to legal compliance. We endeavour to ensure that we meet all legal, environmental and employment legislation and requirements
