Locations visited include: Lake Coleridge village, power station and the lake itself (for a morning tea with a dramatic backdrop); a series of beautiful small lakes in a glaciated landscape - each distinctive in appearance and name (Georgina, Evelyn, Henrietta, Selfe, Ida, Catherine), Wilberforce River. Highlights Rakaia River, Mt Hutt, glacial-blue lakes, Birdwatching - southern crested grebe, wrybill, black fronted tern, black billed gull.
